Lobi Stars technical adviser Eugene Agagbe says the club’s triumph in the Benue State Federation Cup will serve as a morale booster ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 28 fixture against Sporting Lagos.
The Pride of Benue defeated Flight FC 2-1 to win the Benue Federation Cup final on Saturday.
Lobi Stars will battle with Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Wednesday.
“We look forward to going to Lagos for our midweek tie; this victory will also serve as a morale booster and a turnaround for us to have a good result in Lagos,” he told the club’s media.
“it will serve as a morale booster going into the national Federation Cup and the Nigeria Premier Football League.
“I give thanks to my players for giving us this trophy. As I always tell players, no trophy is small when you are looking for something big you start from small before you get to what you are looking for. So for us to grab the FA Cup at Gboko Township here it is for good.”
Lobi Stars occupy second position in the NPFL table.
